Country Manager Germany (all genders)
Our mandate is one of the Northern Europe's leading developers and builders of marinas, harbours, and floating structures. The group has activities in Sweden, Germany, Norway, Denmark and the Faroe Islands. The headquarter is in Nacka Strand, just outside Stockholm. In the Group work about 20 people in production, assembly, construction, administration, as well as sales and in marketing. Manufacturing facilities of pontoons are outside Nyköping (S) in Sweden and in Torgelow, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (D). Mission of our client: to deliver for customers high quality products and service and to maintain high customer satisfaction and increase the very good reputation of the company in the industry.
Aufgaben
Goal of the role
• To take the team and the German business to the next level, expanding the market share with improved margins through improving efficiency and current business processes.
• Implementing a proactive and more ‘forward leaning’ approach to sales to improve brand awareness and sales in Germany as well as northern Europe.
Responsibilities / duties of the task / job content
• Take an overall responsibility of the German business, including a full P/L responsibility with budget, cost control and profitability
• Drive operational excellence in the day-to-day work to improve efficiency and margins with improved business processes
• Proactively work with strategic sourcing to continuously evaluate suppliers to ensure best quality and conditions.
• Own and drive marketing activities together with sales resources to drive sales (including social media and SEO/SEM) to improve brand awareness in northern Europe in general and Germany in particular.
• Proactively drive sales and explore new sales channels together with sales resources through outreach sales and building long term relationships
• Build and lead a strong team of 3 employees in admin and sales as well as 6 factory workers
• The position as Country Manager will report to the group CEO
Profil
You need to be a commercial orientated person with technical understanding and motivated to develop our mandate´s sales and factory unit in Germany to the next level.
• Successfully completed business administration studies or comparable
• Experience from manufacturing is desired
• Proven leadership experience
• Proactive and entrepreneurial spirit with a can-do-attitude
• Experience and proven track record leading other people and business transformations and related change management journeys
• Preferably experience from controlling and/or management consulting with strong business acumen, understanding the dynamics of a manufacturing and selling company
• Good numerical and technical understanding, with an analytical and strategic mindset
• Willingness to work hands-on to create change (e.g. develop material, coordinate with stakeholders etc.)
• Good English language skills (written and spoken)
• Open for travel to visit customers, suppliers, Swedish HQ etc.
